BioI write children's fiction, mostly YA. My first YA novel, Shrinking Violet is scheduled to be published by MTV/Pocket Books on May 5,2009. Yay, MTV! My second novel, Indigo Blues is scheduled for Fall 2010 from Flux. Yay, Flux!
I was born in Cape Town, South Africa and grew up in Wellesley, Massachusetts. I have three younger sisters and a brother. I earned a BFA in Creative Writing and an MA in Marketing Communications & Advertising, both from Emerson College in Boston, MA. I have worked as a college DJ, freelance writer, creative writing teacher and English tutor. I now live in Miami with my husband and children.
I love to write and wrote my first book in first grade. There was only one printing of the book--Mrs. Peterson's typerwriter and lamination machine made it happen.
